The Undercover Dream Lovers is the project of Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist musician Matt Koenig. Psychedelic pop chalk full of smooth rhythms, funky basslines, and the most interesting synth textures; The Undercover Dream Lovers debut album, It's All in Your Head, is as easy as a Sunday morning in bed and sure to leave you hanging on every hook.
Koenig has written and produced almost every song released by The Undercover Dream Lovers, and with only sparse help from outside collaborators, he has recorded most of the instrumentation as well. Per an interview with David Obenour of OffShelf, Koenig gained much experience playing in bands at local house shows in his native city of Pittsburg, and also lived in NYC before moving his operation to Los Angeles. Playing his live shows with a 4 to 5 piece backing band, Koenig, as The Undercover Dream Lovers, has toured with names such as Parcels, Her's, and L’impératrice. The past year has seen much growth in his already notable following, building on the groundwork he has laid for himself with numerous singles and a couple Eps.
